eMerchantPay collects demographic and personal data to provide you with a better web experience. We use the data we collect to perform statistical, demographic and marketing analysis of users and service subscribers, and their subscribing and purchasing patterns, for product development purposes, for anonymous reporting for internal and external clients and to further develop the usability of our website.

Use of Personal Information

We use your personal information to operate your Merchant Account and to provide our services. We also share certain information, as with banks or credit/debit card processing services, identity verification services and credit reference agencies as part of our normal business operations. The purpose for sharing this data is to identify and verify users and to limit our exposure fraud and other criminal activities and to manage our financial risk. When conducting identification or fraud prevention checks, the service provider may retain a record of our query along with your information. By using our services you expressly agree to the sharing of your personal data for these purposes. We may also send personal details such as your name, address and country of residence to recipients of any payments you make if such recipients request this information from us in order to improve the payment process, to reconcile payments with the commercial transaction or to conduct their own anti-fraud and anti-money laundering checks. Your personal data may be shared with entities outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) if this is necessary for providing you with the services requested by you. You expressly consent to the sharing of your data in this way. If you have been referred to us by a third party and that third party is entitled to a commission payment based on transaction volumes, numbers or types of transactions, we may share personal data, including transactional information, with that third party in order to reconcile commission payments.

Security of Information

Your personal details will remain private and confidential. We will never sell, rent, barter or share your personal details in any way with any other company. All data collected is for our internal use only.

eMerchantPay will never send you any unsolicited email. From time to time, we may send you pertinent information on special offers, giveaways or special discounts should you choose to subscribe to it. If you prefer not receive these, we will include unsubscribe details with every email that we send out.

Some of our web pages utilize cookies and other tracking technologies. However, we do not keep any of your personal details on cookies or with any of our tracking mechanisms.

eMerchantPay may, from time to time, post surveys and questionnaires to measure your response to certain new additions to the website. Taking part in the survey is voluntary; you are not required to fill up the survey if you choose not to. The information you provide in answer to optional survey questions may be shared, but only in the aggregate, with our partners unless we notify you otherwise during the time of the collection. We will also include an option where you can complete the survey but choose to remain anonymous.

To ensure the confidentiality and security of the information you’ve shared with us through our inquiry form and/or Merchant Application Form, we have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in place that comply with government regulations to protect your personal information.

eMerchantPay Limited is in the process of registering as a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act 1998 and we aim to ensure that we comply with all the protection the Act affords to you.

Use of your personal information submitted to other websites

We are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other websites, even if you accessed the third party website using links from our website.

We recommend that you check the policy of each website you visit and contact the owner or operator of such website if you have concerns or questions.

We reserve the right to amend or modify this privacy policy and if we do so we will post the changes on this page.
