The third quarter of 2026 marked another period of strong growth for emerchantpay, as we continued to expand our merchant relationships and build on our commercial momentum.
Between July and September 2026, the total value of payments we processed increased by 25.7% compared with the same period last year, while the number of transactions grew by 24.9%.
Behind these results are the successful onboarding of large strategic merchants, the expansion of existing customer relationships and our continued focus on developing payment capabilities that support merchants as they grow.
Supporting merchant growth through payment innovation
Alongside our commercial growth, we have continued to invest in our product offering to support the evolving requirements of larger merchants. One example is our pay-out solution, which enables platform businesses to pay individual and corporate sellers securely and at scale.
As merchants grow and expand into new markets, their payment requirements become increasingly complex. Supporting higher transaction volumes, different customer preferences and market specific requirements call for payment infrastructure that can scale alongside the business.
Industry recognition for our payment solutions
Our work has also received industry recognition in 2026, reflecting our contribution to financial technology and payment services. We were named FinTech of the Year at the Brit Fintech Awards 2026, recognising our contribution to the development of the fintech sector.
We also won two categories at The FinTech Awards 2026: Best FinTech for Personal Banking, Personal Payments and Money Management and Best FinTech for Hospitality and Catering.
In addition, we were shortlisted for Best Digital Solution Provider PayTech and UK PayTech of the Year at The Banking Tech Awards 2026.
Looking ahead to peak retail season
The final quarter of the year brings increased trading activity for many businesses, particularly across retail and eCommerce. During peak periods, merchants may need to handle higher transaction volumes while maintaining payment performance and meeting customer expectations.
Our approach combines scalable payment technology with acquiring expertise and dedicated support to help merchants manage their payment operations during busy trading periods and beyond.
Commenting on the results, Alexander Berrai, Deputy CEO at emerchantpay, said:
“These results show that merchants want more from their payments partner. Checkout performance now has a direct impact on sales and customer retention, so merchants are choosing partners who can help them grow, not just process payments. Our growth this quarter reflects new strategic wins and existing customers trusting us with more of their business.
As we head into peak retail season, ambitious merchants need payment infrastructure that scales when it matters most, and the expertise to keep performance high across every market they operate in.”
As we continue to grow, our focus remains on helping merchants meet their evolving payment needs, support their customers and pursue new business opportunities.
